Nguni Grill in Polokwane
If you have never eaten pofadder wors or skilpadjies, you need to get down to Nguni Grill on the corner of Morris and De Wet Ave in Bendor, Polokwane.
Pofadder wors (pufadder sausage), is not a snake sausage. It's only Kalahari wors made of chopped liver and kidney. At Nguni Grill it is served with ciabatta bread and olive oil with a balsamic vinegar dip. Mouthwatering, traditional South African and Afrikaner wors.
Or how about skilpadjies (little tortoises)? No, not the real thing - ground lamb's liver with herbs and spices. Or maybe you'll prefer marrow bone on toast?
This is only part of the menu at Nguni Grill Polokwane named after the indigenous African cattle renowned for its patched hides.
Nguni Grill is an initiative of Willem Pretorius well-known in Polokwane as a previous owner of Spur Savannah and a partner in Pick n Pay Family Store in Cycad Centre.

I had not heard of Nguni
I had not heard of Nguni before, but was pleasantly surprised when we went for lunch a few weeks ago.
The waitron was fast and efficient, as well as being very courteous. The meal was fantastic, we enjoyed sushi as well as pizza.
Thank you to all the staff, it was lovely
Baie teleurgesteld Nico - 072 373 8718.
Op Sondag 02 Januarie 2011 het ek en my vrou buffet ete by julle genuttig. Tafel no 344, Bedien deur Kenny.
Ons rekening was R259.90.
Groete
Nico.
