28 May is the official launch of Cansa Polokwane Relay for Life at Bolivia Lodge. Tickets at R50 pp from the Hospitium or the office of Sally Hansen at 33 Plein Street. Music will be provided by It Takes Four.
Relay for Life takes place on 8 Oct. 2010 and the number of teams allowed will be capped at 250 as this is about the maximum that can be hosted on the rugby field of PHS.
Only 10 prime spots will be available as oppsoed to 20 last year. Entry fees are R500 per team.
Entertainment will be provided through the night so there will not be quiet times during the relay. Existing team captains will assist new captains to teach them what they need to do. Each team is required to raise R5000 for Cansa. Teams can have themes which they must choose.
Community orgsanisations will again provide all food. Meal vouchers will be available and braai facilities with braaipacks. Kirstein called on teams not to use outside caterers for their staff but to use the food provided onsite.
Cansa Relay is for fun so come and enjoy while serving a good cause. Janie Wierenga, Rian Grobler and a variety of other artists including belly and gumboot dancers will provide entertainment.
KFC will again entertain the children at the KFC kiddies tent.
