The Kydz inc project, a business development programme for Grade 9 to 11 learners since 2006, has reached its ultimate goal – 2010!
The committee would like to create a unique opportunity for approximately eight young people from Polokwane to form part of an exchange programme to New York in the third term of 2010.
The following learners from the various Kydz inc teams since 2006 are invited to be part of the first round of interviews to be held on Saturday 24 April at The Deck Restaurant in Polokwane. These persons should contact the organisers for their formal invitations and registration forms.
2009: Eric Nagel, Barbara George, Dineo Ratema, Tumelo Legodi, Inamari Human, Lethabo Semenya.
2008: Nkhensani Dhumazi, Dorcas Lekganyane, Mohlatsealerato Masimene, Priscilla Matlakala, Timothy Rangongo, Maite Rapetsoa, Thologelo Thoka.
2007: Kabelo Tsebe, Boitumelo Mohlabi, Prudence Makololo, Evelyn Seshuene, Mokgadi Machaba, Stephina Kgobe, Peter Shumba .
2006: Claudia Kgobe, Nyelethi Machovani, Nkgesa Makgaba, Sadie Moabelo, Evelyn Seabela, Edith Sehlapelo, Lebogang Makgoana, Ndivhuwo Nelwamondo.
The following selection criteria as compiled by the committee and invited members must be sure that they would be able to adhere to the criteria before you accept the invitation to the interviews.
Write an essay of not more than 250 words, and motivate your reason for accepting the invitation to possibly become a candidate for the exchange programme.
The essay must reach Dia van Staden @ deevs@telkomsa.net or at fax no. 086 6522 036 on or before Monday 19 April 2010.
Compulsory interviews for prospective members will be conducted on Saturday 24 April. Transport to and from the venue is for each individual’s own cost.
The twelve prospective exchange members, selected on 24 April, will have to attend the Business Workshop to be held from 7 to 9 August 2010 in Johannesburg
The selected prospective members will have to raise their own funds to be part of the experience. (Approximately R40 000 each).

Mr Timothy Maurice Webster, presenter and owner of Maurice and Associates, a branding company in New York and Johannesburg, will assist with logistics for this exchange programme.
Milestone Events & Training is a consulting and training company that turns ideas into events. Dia van Staden, director for Kydz Inc, is looking forward to reunite with the capacity-strong learners that Kydz Inc has presented during the past four years.
The invited persons are required to inform Dia van Staden at 083 726 1180 on or before Monday 19 April if they will be willing and able to join in the interviews by completing the registration form and attaching their essay.

RETIEF BURGER KOM LOOF EN PRYS IN POLOKWANE
Retief Burger, ‘n aanbidder in sy wese, sal op Saterdag 4 Junie die saal van Bolivia Lodge propvol jongmense laat stroom om sy geestelike musiek te geniet.
Sy musiek is opreg en modern en vind daarom aanklank by ‘n wye spektrum mense. Retief glo dat God hom geroep het om mense na die hart van die Vader te lei. Sy passie, om nuwe leiers op te rig wat oor alle kerk en generasiegrense saamwerk vir een doel: om God bekend te maak en vir sy eer te leef!
In 2005 is Luidkeels vrygestel en die eerste album het intussen platinum status verwerf. In 2008 het Luidkeels Hersien, die opvolg album, ‘n SAMA toekenning vir die Beste Afrikaanse Gospel CD gewen en is goud gesertifiseer.
Luidkidz is ‘n lof album vir ouer Laerskoolkinders wat ook in 2008 die lig gesien het. Retief vertel dat hul graag ‘n nuwe, funky musiek vir laerskoolkinders wou skryf sodat hul al van vroeg af die Here kliphard in hul eie idioom kon aanbid.
Luidkeels Oorgegee is ‘n lewendige CD en DVD wat in 2009 opgeneem is waar duisende aanbidders van alle generasies byeen was vir die verklaring van oorgawe en toewyding aan die Here. Die CD het ook ‘n SAMA gewen vir die beste Afrikaanse Gospel CD in 2009.
In 2010 het ‘n nuwe uitdaging vir Retief gewink met die vrystelling van sy eerste boek met die titel Oorgegee – om luidkeels tot sy eer te leef. Menige lewens is aangeraaak deur die stories agter die liedjies wat in rou eerlikheid vertel word.
Retief is voltyds betrokke by Every Nation, ‘n gemeente in Pretoria, waar hy as leraar optree. Hy spandeer baie tyd met aanbiddingspanne en die leierskap van plaaslike gemeentes, veral rondom die tema van dissipelskap. Sy passie vir die kerk, prediking en sy land by die hartklop van sy bediening. Sy fokus is om in gehoorsaamheid aan God te bly leef.
Die deure van die Limpopo saal by Bolivia Lodge sal om 18:30 open en die vertoning sal om 19:00 afskop. Slegs staanplekke beskikbaar sodat maksimum persone ingepas kan word. Kaartjies kos R50 per persoon en is beskikbaar by Momentum Lewens se kantore op die hoek van Marshall en Biccardstrate. Daar sal koeldranke te koop aangebied word.
