Die Meropa Casino & Entertainment World sal op 11 en 12 Desember ‘n feestelike warboel veroorsaak wanneer die Afrikaanse kultuur daar ten toon gestel word.
Die publiek sal geleentheid kry om hul kersinkopies by Meropa te doen wanneer kwaliteit uitstallings in die kulturele sentrum besoek kan word. Oud en jonk sal kan deel in die pret wat die twee dae aangebied sal word.
Maatskappye uitgenooi om op Vrydag 11 Desember hul potjiekos-vernuf ten toon te stel tydens die Meropa Makietie se “Waar dit Kook” uitdaging. Registrasie is gratis en die fokus sal op pret en plesier val. Thys die Bosveldklong sal die hoofbeoordelaar van die kreatiewe potjies wees en die aand om 20:00 die vermaak verskaf in die konferensiesentrum.
Vrydagmiddag om 15:00 sal ‘n danswerkwinkel en kompetisie vir kinders aangebied word. Die kinders word veral betrek by die speelpark en vermaaklikheidsprogram gedurende die twee dae. Springkastele, ‘n waterwurm, go-karts en boeresportspeletjies sal geniet kan word.
Op Saterdag 12 Desember om 14:00 sal Nadine Blom die kleingoed vermaak met musiek en saamsing. Die Broers gaan die gehoor Saterdagaand in die konferensiesentrum vermaak met hul lekker kuier-musiek.
‘n Kinderpartytjie vir minderbevoorregte kinders word vir die Saterdagoggend beoog en sal in die markiestent aangebied word. Kinders sal slegs op uitnodiging die partytjie kan bywoon. Verskeie plaaslike kunstenaars sal die geleentheid kry om voor die kuiergaste van die Makietie op te tree.
Saterdagmiddag sal nog ‘n hoogtepunt wees wanneer gesinne uitgenooi word om in spanne van vier aan die boeresport deel te neem. Sakresies, eiergooi, melk in ‘n soplepel ens sal gespeel word om die “Beste Boere” te kies.
Elke dag se toegang tot die terrein is gratis. Die twee vertonings deur Thys die Bosveldklong en Die Broers sal R30 per person kos.

OLD MUTUAL WINE SHOW AT MEROPA
Polokwane wine enthusiasts and show-goers should plan for the annual Old Mutual Limpopo Wine Show, taking place at the Meropa Casino & Entertainment World outside Polokwane for the fifth time on 29 and 30 July 2011.
The festival is also a good reason for Gautengers to “make a weekend of it”. Offering a great number of delicious wines for tasting and purchase, Cape winemakers and producer representatives from 50 exhibitors look forward to sharing their wines within the relaxed and fun atmosphere of the Meropa facilities.
Limpopo wine lovers can expect to see a prestigious line-up of exhibitors including the likes of Boekenhoutskloof, Beyerskloof, Creation Wines, Haute Cabrière, Muratie, Reyneke Organics, Raka and Tokara.
Romesco Olives will once again present a spread of olive oils, tapenades and olives to sample while show visitors can view wine stemware, accessories and home cellaring options.

Earlier this year, Old Mutual announced their headline sponsorship of the two prominent wine shows in two regions where growth and demand for the country’s best wines has grown exponentially over the last half decade.
