Community involvement is one of the biggest investments that a company can make as it ploughs back into the soil that brings it harvest…

That is exactly what Matome Maponya Investments did with their last community project for this year.

150 Children from the Mangaile Primary was spoilt to a day of “Christmas Indulgence” at the Sterkloop Adventure Farm. The majority of these children would not  otherwise have been able to enjoy a day filled with so many pleasures, if Matome Maponya Investments did not make it possible for them.

Each child was treated with a Christmas gift, sweet treats and a day filled with fun and laughter. The idea behind the project was to say thank you to the local community of Limpopo for all the support that they give Matome Maponya Investments. Children is the future of the nation, and investing in them, is as good as investing in all our futures, said Kholofelo Maponya- owner of Matome Maponya Investments. His other half, Ruth Maponya, said that hopefully there will be many more projects to come, and cannot wait to involve other schools as well. Children is very important to the Maponya couple, as they are parents and understand the needs of a child. Although the needs of the children goes much further as a Christmas gift, the need to play, and have fun, is just as important to a child’s wellbeing. The whole project was planned around uplifting the spirits of the children and rewarding them for working hard and being dedicated at school, no matter what their personal circumstances are.
