LIMPOPO ANGELS GOLF DAY
The Limpopo Angels Golf Day to collect funds for the heart operation of Francois Snyman (3) was a big success.
Many local businessmen reached deep into their pockets to support the auction. One table of businessmen donated R10 000,00. The final amount received from the golf entries and the auction is not available yet but we will publish it as soon as we receive it.
Standard Bank was one of the main sponsors of the evening and the newly appointed Provincial Director of the bank, Ms Mita Koebe, also attended the prize-giving.
Below are photos of the prize and lucky draw winners.
Awie Opperman bought the Blue Bulls rugby jersey donated by Victor Matfield and signed by the Blue Bulls of 2010.
Philip Fick bought the painting of Pierre Spies.
Ruan Pretorius bought the Springbok jersey donated and signed by Victor Matfield.

Francois Snyman (3) well and back home
Little Francois Snyman (3) who had a heart operation recently is home and recuperating well.
His father told us that they had to rush to Unitas hospital in Pretoria over the weekend as his temperature skyrocketed. He is on a wide range of medication to help him recover as well as deal with side-effects of the operation.
A golf day to collect funds for the operation will be held on 5 May. Check out the MyPolokwane Calendar for info.

HEART OPERATION OF FRANCOIS SNYMAN (3) A SUCCESS
Little Francois Snyman (3) had to wait three years to be big enough so doctors could repair a hole in his heart which he was born with.
He had the operation this morning, 8 March.
His father's employer, Cyber Group Limpopo, organised a golf day to help collect the necessary funds to help pay for the expensive operation.
The golf day is on 17 March
An event has been created on Facebook
On the golf day, exciting articles will be up for grabs to help raise funds. There are a Blue Bulls rugby jersey signed by the Blue Bulls, 4 tickets on the main pavilion for a Blue Bulls game, a painting of Blue Bull, Pierre Spies, weekends away and two R1000 grocery vouchers.
We spoke to Francois' father this afternoon. He said it wasn't necessary to replace a heart valve as the doctors planned. Doctors just stretched the existing valve to close the opening and repaired a small hole between the bottom heart chambers.
The boy is still receiving blood and is on a ventilator but everything went well!
People interested in donating can communicate via the Facebook Page or call Dirk Liebenberg at 015 291 4394 or 072 416 5675 or Wimpie Opperman at 015 575 1632 or 083 462 0793.
