WHY NO CREDIT CARDS?

I want to try and explain why we do not accept credit cards as form of payment for fuel:

By Law, the fuel price are fixed and controlled by the government. Therefore the profit margin for selling fuel, is R0,812 cents. See the calculation below:

ULP93 Fuel purchase @ R9.208 for 1 Lit, sells for R10.02.

Let's create a scenario:

You fill your car with ULP93, and get 50lit of fuel @ 501-00. The profit amount will be R40-60.

Say you want to pay with your credit card....

The bank charges us 1.75% on the amount - R8.77.

The profit amount in this transaction - before we even had to pay the staff, the electricity or any other overhead costs - is R31.83

It just doesn't make business sence.

Tonight we are sending two of our longest serving employees to see the game. Isaac Modiba and James Ramollo both 55 years of age. Isaac's service stretches from February 1982, and James from September 1984. How's that for loyalty? They truly deserve it! Enjoy guys!!!!
