The Baobab Beat 2009 in Polokwane that will be held from 3-6 September promises to be a new milestone.
Only the second of the Beats to be held, it promises to surpass visitors numbers of its first year and to set a new standard for coming Baobab Beats.

MyPolokwane will be blogging on the website, Facebook, Twitter (Twitter hashtag is #baobab) and will post video on YouTube and photos on Picasa for the duration of the festival.

Baobab Beat have 35 stalls around the cricket pitch which will sell everything “traditionally afrikaans” including pap en kaiings, afval en rys, koeksisters, skaap spit, oxtail, etc.

SAB brings the BIG screen to Baobab Beat
Saturday
SAB are bringing the ginormous big screen from Jhb and it will be parked next to the gig rig to show the rugby on the field.
Both games, SA vs Australia at 12:00 and Blue Bulls and WP at 17:00, will be broadcast.

Baobab Beat for Business
Opening evening of Baobab Beat on Thursday night will be held in the VIP Tent on the cricket field.
The show will be done by Staaldraad. The meal will be traditional afrikaans food with oxtail, pampoen koekies die hele boksemdaais. We will also have a fountain with Mampoer at the entrance and a dance floor.
Ticket for the evening includes a weekend ticket to the festival as well as access to the PCOB's VIP tent where there will be a cash bar for the duration of the festival.
The tickets for this is R500 p.p. or R5000 per table for companies or individuals.
